I am honored to serve as the President of the All India Agricultural Workers’ Union (AIAWU) and as a State Committee Member of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPIM). These positions allow me to advocate for the rights and welfare of agricultural workers and contribute to the political discourse in our state.
The All India Agricultural Workers’ Union (AIAWU)
The AIAWU is a prominent trade union that represents the interests of agricultural workers across India. Our primary objective is to fight for the rights and dignity of these workers, who form a significant part of our country’s workforce.
As the President of the AIAWU, I work tirelessly to address the various challenges faced by agricultural workers. This includes advocating for fair wages, improved working conditions, access to healthcare and education, and social security benefits. We also strive to empower women agricultural workers and promote gender equality within the sector.
The Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPIM)
The CPIM is a political party that believes in the principles of Marxism and works towards the establishment of a socialist society in India. As a State Committee Member, I actively participate in shaping the party’s policies and strategies to address the socio-economic issues faced by our state’s population.
Within the CPIM, I focus on agricultural and rural development issues. This involves working closely with other party members, government officials, and organizations to formulate policies that prioritize the welfare of farmers and agricultural workers. We strive to ensure sustainable agricultural practices, fair land distribution, and access to credit and other resources for farmers.
Collaboration and Impact
Both the AIAWU and the CPIM share a common goal of empowering the working class and marginalized communities. Through my dual roles, I aim to create synergy between the trade union and the political party, amplifying our collective voice and impact.
